Hello Indiana BPA! My name is Luis Oviedo, your 2019-2020 Indiana State President. I am an upcoming Senior at North Central High School/J. Everett Light Career Center and this will be my third year in BPA. I was born in Costa Rica and am very proud of my Latino heritage. I am very passionate about world events, history, business, and of course BPA! During my free time I like to stay fit, swim, and cook. I am looking forward to bringing a more mainstream means of communication, to be able to communicate more directly with all of you! I will work hard with my fellow State Officer Leadership Team members to bring you a new and exciting year of BPA and accomplishing our goals in which we promised during our election. Hi Indiana BPA! I am Katie Smith, the Vice President of Administration for our 2019-2020 school year! I am a junior at Hamilton Heights High School and this will be my third year in BPA! This great organization has given me so many opportunities to improve my business acumen. I have enjoyed learning skills necessary to my future and meeting new people in new places. I am the Vice President of my junior class, involved in A.S.K. club, Honor Society, captain of the girls’ varsity soccer team, attribute to my school’s track team, and work at Alexander’s ice cream store. I am looking forward to the year to come and the great memories I’m sure I’ll make with you all!

Hello Indiana BPA! My name is Miranda Hirl and I am your 2019-2020 Vice President of Public Relations. This upcoming year I will be a junior at Hamilton Heights High School, and I have been a member of Business Professionals of America since my freshman year. Through BPA I have been able to gain confidence, step out of my comfort zone, and make new friends as well as connections. Besides BPA, I am a member of Key Club, National Honors Society, ASK Club, and Soccer. During my years of BPA, I have attended 2 State Leadership Conferences for Digital Publishing, Entrepreneurship, and Advanced Interview and 1 National Leadership Conference for Entrepreneurship. I am so excited to help every member find their passions and skills through BPA and to work with the 2019-2020 State Officer Team to make this year another great year!

Hello Indiana BPA! My name is Maryam Olaletan and I am thrilled to be your 2019-2020 Vice President of Communication. I am currently a junior at Ben Davis University High School in Indianapolis, Indiana and this will be my second year in BPA. Business Professionals of America has provided me with great opportunities, such as meeting new people across the state, building my confidence through public speaking, and also having the opportunity to discover my passion by connecting with like-minded people. My favorite thing about BPA is that it is inclusive of people from different backgrounds and different interests. I was born in Nigeria, I moved to the United States in 2015, and I am very proud of my background. All throughout high school, I have been involved in Recycling club, Girls Empowerment Club and I am a member of the National Honors Society. Outside school, I enjoy helping out in the community, writing stories, learning German, watching TV shows, soccer, and hanging out with friends. I cannot wait to discover more about what this great year has to offer and also finding ways to push our amazing organization forward. Hello my name is Hayden Alvey-Knapp and I am your Indiana Vice President of Member Activities! I am a senior at J. Everett Light Career Center and participate in Track & Field. I participate in community service, and enjoy making everyone get as prepared as possible for the real world. This is my second year within BPA and I am very excited to make your experiences in BPA the best they can possibly be. Thank you!

Hello Indiana BPA, my name is Hanna Gutwein and I am your 2019-2020 Region 1 President. I am a senior at Kankakee Valley High School and have been involved in BPA since my freshman year. BPA has given me an extensive set of skills I cannot wait to expand on including, public speaking, professionalism, and most importantly confidence. Outside of my local BPA chapter, I am involved in many extracurricular activities including National Honor Society, Varsity Tennis, CTSO, Student Council, and my class treasurer. Outside of school sponsored activities I intern with my dad at our family owned insurance company. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and traveling. I am very excited for the upcoming year and can't wait to serve as your 2019-2020 Region 1 President.

Hello, I am Griffin Nate, the Region 2 President from Plymouth High School. I have the privilege to serve my peers in many leadership capacities. I currently serve as President of my local BPA Chapter, President of the Plymouth Mayor’s Youth Council, President of the National Honor Society, President of Global Discussions Club, and Vice President of Key Club. Between BPA and all of the other organizations I am involved with, I find that my passion of being a catalyst for change advances. In the future, I am planning to pursue a degree in law with hopes to eventually end up as a corporate lawyer. When I am not at school, you will often find me at various political functions or out on the campaign trail. I am excited to serve on the 2019-2020 officer team, which will be Indiana BPA’s best year yet!

Hello Indiana BPA, my name is Tayte Azbell. I am currently serving as your Regional 3/6 President for the 2019 - 2020 school year. I am a senior at Wabash High School and attend Heartland Career Center. I work two part-time jobs, one is working with two different radio stations, and I also work at a pet store. I enjoy playing video games, disc golf, and working on computers. I would love to pursue a career in Cybersecurity. This is my second year of BPA and I am excited to serve and represent my region. I look forward to seeing everyone at State Leadership Conference!

Hey there Indiana BPA! My name is Mallory Culver, and I am beyond excited to be serving as your 2019-2020 Indiana BPA Region ⅘ President! Currently, I am a senior at Frontier Jr./Sr. High School. I have been an active member of Business Professionals of America for 4 years. I am also extremely involved in many other organizations such as National Honors Society, National Technical Honors Society, Sunshine Society, and Student Council. I have also been a member of the cross country and track teams, as well as girls’ basketball manager and cheerleading. BPA has further developed my leadership and communication skills, as well as helped me to come outside of my comfort zone to connect with others. In my free time, you can find me watching Grey’s Anatomy or One Tree Hill, or sitting at my vanity playing with makeup. I plan to attend Purdue University majoring in Business Management. I then plan to obtain my MBA where I can work in healthcare management. I am extremely thankful for all this organization has given me, and I cannot wait to begin serving on the State Officer Leadership Team.

Hello Indiana BPA! My name is Jessica Ghotra, and I'm your 2019 - 2020 region 8 president. I'm an upcoming junior at Avon High School. I have been a member of BPA since my freshman year and have made many wonderful friends through it. Aside from BPA, I am also a member of the dance program, student television network and the girl’s rugby team. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and binge watching Friends on Netflix. I am grateful for this position that I have been given, and can't wait to serve you as your region 8 president for 2019 - 2020!

Hey Indiana BPA! My name is Nicole Dunham and I am thrilled to serve as your 2019-2020 Indiana BPA Region 9 President. I am currently a senior at Morristown Jr./Sr. High School in Morristown, Indiana. Once I joined BPA, I was astonished with the amount of opportunities and amazing people associated with the organization. Other than being my local BPA chapter's Chief Marketing Officer, I am apart or have been a part of Sunshine Society, Spanish club, FFA, marching band, color guard and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). In my free time, you can catch me either hanging out with friends, driving tractors, binge watching Grey's Anatomy and The Office on Netflix, learning and trying new things, working, or helping the people around me. My adoration of children and helping children has lead me to pursue a degree in early childhood education and with being in BPA, it has led me to minor in business and finance. Hello Indiana BPA! My name is Isaac Barnard, and I am your 2019-2020 Region 10 President. I am currently a junior at Washington High School, and this will be my third year involved in Business Professionals of America. I am involved in many other activities including student council and baseball. I also work at Williams Brothers Health Care Pharmacy. In my free time, you can find me spending time with my friends, fishing, playing piano, or watching any of the Marvel movies. I also like to visit St. Louis and watch the Cardinals play at Busch Stadium. My plan is to attend Indiana University and study orthopedics and sports medicine. I am very excited to be part of the State Officer Leadership Team and make new friends along the way. I cannot wait to help improve Indiana BPA! The Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship
Hello Indiana BPA! I’m Kali Barnhill and I’m the 2019-2020 Region 11 President. I currently attend The Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship in Bloomington, Indiana and this is my third year as a member of the State Officer Leadership Team. A few things I like to do outside of BPA are writing poems and short stories, playing guitar and taking salsa dancing classes. One of the things I love about our organization is that we have so many different competitions for students that can help them on any path they take. After high school, I hope to obtain my Associate's degree through Ivy Tech and then to move on to a four-year college, where I can obtain a degree in Journalism or Public Relations. I’m grateful I get to continue to be a part of Indiana BPA for my senior year and hope to continue their legacy of professionalism even after I have graduated high school.

Hello Indiana BPA! My name is Molly Guetig and I am your 2019 - 2020 Region 12 President. I am a junior at West Washington High School and I have been an active member of Business Professionals of America for 5 years now. I enjoy taking pictures, running, playing with my dog and hanging out with my sisters. In school I am involved in cross country, track, cheer, impact club, spirit club, FFA, student council, and National Honors Society. Outside of school I am involved in my church youth group, 4-H, Washington County Community Theatre and Junior leaders. Business Professionals of America has been a huge part of my life since sixth grade, I have gained friendships, speaking skills, leadership skills, and many more I have always loved being part of such an amazing organization, surrounded by many talented individuals. I can't wait to start my year as an officer and help lead Indiana BPA. After High School I hope to attend Notre Dame with a major in business and a minor in psychology. I am beyond excited for this year in BPA and can't wait to make it a great one!!
