Mission Statement

We, the members of the 2018-2019 State Officer Leadership Team of the Business Professionals of America, Indiana Association, pledge to promote recruitment. We will do this by appealing to diverse career interests, increasing the quality of communication, and expanding awareness of Torch Awards and BPA Cares. In doing so, we will ensure that today's students are tomorrow's business professionals.

Aubrey Austin, President
Lincoln High School
Hello Indiana BPA! My name is Aubrey Austin, and I’m your 2018-2019 Indiana BPA State President. I’m a senior at Lincoln High School in Cambridge City, Indiana. Throughout high school, I have been involved activities such as Color Guard, National Honor Society, Spanish Club, French Club, Student Council, Academic Teams, Golf and BPA. This will be my fourth year of BPA. Throughout my time in BPA, I have had the honor to attend two National Leadership Conferences, in Boston and Dallas, and I was a finalist in Medical Office Procedures in Dallas. I’m so excited to serve as your 2018-19 Indiana State President and I’m looking forward to make this year a great experience for all of you!

Luis Oviedo, Vice President of Administration

Hello Indiana BPA! My name is Luis Oviedo, your 2018-2019 Vice President of Administration. I am an upcoming Junior at North Central High School/J. Everett Light Career Center and this will be my second year in BPA. I was born in Costa Rica and am very proud of my Latino heritage. I am very passionate about world events, history, business, and of course BPA! During my free time I like to lift weights, play my guitar and violin, and make people laugh. I am looking forward to bringing a new perspective to help BPA branch out to a larger membership and add to the value of this organization for years to come. I will work hard with my fellow SOLT members to bring you a new and exciting year of BPA! I am very excited to serve all of you throughout the year. Anna Porter, Vice President of Chapter Activities

Hello Indiana BPA! I am Anna Porter, your 2018-2019 Vice President of Chapter Activities. I am a senior at The Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship in Bloomington, Indiana, and this will be my third year as a BPA member. I am also a president of the Spanish Club, a senior class representative for The Academy Leadership Team, and an officer for our National Honor Society. Outside of school, I spend my time volunteering for local organizations, spending time with family, and going outside with my cat. I cannot wait to work with the 2018-2019 State Officer Leadership Team to have another great year of BPA!

Brittany Alvarez, Vice President of Communication

Greetings Indiana BPA! My name is Brittany Alvarez, and I am your 2018-2019 VP of Communication! I am a senior at Tri Jr./Sr. High School in Straughn, Indiana and am in my fourth year of BPA. Along with BPA, I am a member of National Honor Society, 4-H, Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), The Indianapolis Children&'s Choir (ICC), Academic Teams(Social Studies & Math), Girl Scouts, and Drum Major of my schools marching band. On my free time I love to read, watch superhero movies, and relax with friends. BPA is such a wonderful organization that has provided me with many great experiences. Janna Neyenhaus, Vice President of Member Activities

Greetings Indiana BPA! My name is Janna Neyenhaus, and I am proud to serve as your 2018-19 Vice President of Member Activities! I am a senior at Perry Central High School, and am involved in twenty-two different extracurricular activities, including National Honors Society, International Club, Yearbook, Student Council, and the varsity volleyball team. I have been a member of BPA since freshman year, and I truly believe that this organization has played a major role in shaping me into the leader that I am today. In the future, I plan to study law and political science. I am employed as a waitress at a small restaurant in my community. I have a love for the outdoors-kayaking, hiking, and bike riding. I also enjoy writing poetry, reading classic literature, and singing every word to songs on the radio. “Dream it. Chase it. Exceed it. Then dream bigger!” That was my slogan at SLC, and it also guides me in my everyday life. I believe in chasing dreams, and I am incredibly excited to see what this year as a member of the SOLT has in store for me!

Andrew Helton, Region 1 President

Hi Indiana BPA! I’m Andrew Helton, your Region 1 President for 2018 - 2019. I am a senior at Kankakee Valley High School! Last year was my first year in BPA and it has opened up so many doors in my life. As Region 1 President I hope to develop more business traits and become a more cooperative person. I’m very excited for the roles as Region 1 President. After this, I plan to go to college and receive my bachelor’s degree in business management. For fun I like to play Football, Baseball, and Basketball. Every once in a while you will catch me playing a game of Fortnite. All around I’m thrilled to be your Business Professionals of America Region 1’s President.

Nicole Keller, Region 2 President

Hello I am Nicole Keller, the Region 2 President from Plymouth High School. Business Professionals of America has made an immense impact in my personal and professional life. The service that BPA encourages, I strive to fulfill by volunteering at Catherine Kasper Home, a nursing home, where I am given the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals from all walks of life and learn from their experiences. The professionalism that BPA demands, has reflected in my attitude, motivating me to always put my best step forward. I know that BPA will continue to be present in my future life as I pursue a career in Business Law.

Austin Campbell, Region 3/6 President
Heartland Career Center
Hey Indiana BPA! My name is Austin Campbell. I am the Region 3/6 president for the 2018-2019 school year. I am a senior at Peru High School, and I also attend Heartland Career Center which is in Wabash, IN and this is my second year in BPA. I am in National Technical Honors Society and in my free time I enjoy working on computers and working my part time job at the Roxy Five Theater. I also intern with my mom building websites. I enjoy playing video games, fishing, and programming. I would like to pursue a career in the programming field. I am excited to serve and represent my region and chapter, and look forward to working with you all!

Veronica Meredith, Region 4/5 President

Hello Indiana BPA, I am Veronica Meredith and I am your 2018-2019 Region 4/5 President! Currently, I am a senior at Hamilton Heights High School and have been a member of Business Professionals of America since my freshman year. Through BPA I have been able to connect with people, make new friendships, and really grow as a person. Aside, from BPA, I am also involved in National Honor Society, Drama, Spanish Club, and Mock Trial, I also play golf and run track. In my free time I like to read, watch the newest TV hits, play with my cat and eat a ton of food. I am very interested in science and am a total animal lover, I also love to compete. I am very thankful for the experiences and friendships this organization has given me and I plan to give back to it by serving on the State Officer Leadership Team!

Kaylee Weir, Region 9 President
Morristown Jr./Sr. High School
Hey there Indiana BPA! My name is Kaylee Weir and I am eminently thrilled to serve as your 2018-2019 Indiana BPA Region 9 President. I am currently a senior at Morristown Jr./Sr. High School located in Morristown, Indiana. I joined BPA as a sophomore and was immediately fascinated with the bountiful opportunities and amazing people associated with the organization. Outside of being my local BPA chapter's Chief Fundraising Officer, I am the President of Sunshine Society, a member of National Honors Society, National Technical Honors Society, Student Council, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Outside of my academics, I am an ardent athlete. I either have participated or am currently participating in basketball, volleyball, and softball. I enjoy hanging out with friends, learning and trying new things, and helping people around me. My adoration of children and the medical field have caused me to pursue Pediatric Oncology after high school. I can't wait to meet all of you and further improve our great organization! Hi, Indiana BPA! I am Shelby Worden, your Region 10 president. Other than my regional position, I am president of my local chapter as well. I am a senior at Southridge High School. I also am an active member in FCA, SADD, Natural Helpers, Spanish Club, Spirit Club, and Kindness Club. I have been a part of Business Professionals of America for 3 years. Other than meeting new people and creating great friendships, Business Professionals of America has taught me skills that I will use in my future. I am excited for this next year to come, and I can't wait to serve as your Region 10 President for 2018-19!

Kali Barnhill, Region 11 President

Hello Indiana BPA! I’m Kali Barnhill and I’m the 2018-2019 Region 11 President. I currently attend The Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship in Bloomington, Indiana and this is my third year as a member of BPA. This is my second year working with the Indiana SOLT and I’m ecstatic for all the great things to come. A few things I like to do outside of BPA are writing poems and short stories, playing guitar and taking salsa dancing classes. One of the things I love about our organization is that we have so many different competitions for students that can help them on any path they take. After high school, I hope to obtain my Associate's degree through Ivy Tech and then to move on to a four year college, where I can get my degree in Media and Communications from Purdue, University. I’m excited to be the Region 11 President for two years in a row and work with so many wonderful people from across Indiana. Let’s hope to make this the best year yet for Indiana BPA!

Ariel Oeffinger, Region 12 President

Hi Indiana BPA my name is Ariel Oeffinger and I am your Region 12 President. I am a senior at Switzerland County High School and I have been a member of Business Professionals of America for 4 years now. I love creating lifelong friendships through this organization and seeing new people become as passionate about Business Professionals of America as I am! Outside of Business Professionals of America, I enjoy reading playing softball and volleyball, along with sports I spend my time with other clubs such as Student Council, Key Club, Spanish Club, and National Honors Society. In my free time you can find me watching The Office on Netflix for the millionth time! In the future I hope to attend Indiana University to major in Criminal Justice with a minor in Spanish to eventually attend law school to become an attorney. I am excited to be serving Indiana BPA and making this year great!
