We, the members of the 2017-2018 State Officer Leadership Team of the Business Professionals of America, Indiana Association, pledge to utilize communication methods in order to create an informed and involved membership. We will use marketing to engage BPA members to clarify the message of our organization. We strive to exhibit our dedication to service within our community; while upholding the principles of Indiana Business Professionals of America.

    Teren Smith, President, Avon HS

    Hello Indiana BPA! My name is Teren Smith, and I am your 2017-2018 Indiana BPA State President. I am an incoming senior at Avon High School in Avon, IN.I have been in BPA since my freshmen year, and have truly become a true business professional. In school I am an active member in 10 other student lead organizations. Outside of school I am Lifeguard and swim instructor. As a Global Youth Ambassador I look to see and seek for change through community service and community safety. I am honored to be your 51st Indiana BPA state president. As we move into this next school year, I know I can lead, expand and grow our organization as a whole. We are not only Business Professionals and leaders of Tomorrow, but we are also BPA Family.     Karalyn Kramer, VP Administration, Richmond HS

    Hi Indiana BPA! I’m Karalyn Kramer, your 2017-2018 Vice President of Administration. I am currently a senior at Richmond High School and am in my fourth year as a member of BPA. Outside of BPA I am involved in many activities including Drumline, Tennis, Academic Team, Student Council, National Honor Society, freshmen mentoring, tutoring, and volunteering at my community’s local Girls Inc. In my free time I enjoy reading, game nights with my friends, going to the movie theater, and taking my dog on long walks (sadly not on the beach). I’m so excited to serve as a member of the State Officer Leadership Team and help make BPA a great experience for all of you!

    Amber Leinenbach, VP Chapter Activities, Jasper HS

    Hey Indiana BPA! My name is Amber Leinenbach and I am thrilled to serve on the SOLT for the 2017-2018 school year! I am a senior at Jasper High School and this is my 4th year in BPA. Outside of BPA, I am involved in Student Council, Key Club, Mentors for Youth, Peer Mentors, 4H, Junior Achievement, Bosco Youth Group, NHS, and Wyldlife. I also volunteer at Memorial Hospital and our local food bank. My leadership positions include being the Vice President of my class, President of Key Club, sales executive of Junior Achievement, and service chair of Bosco Youth Group. In my free time, you will find me watching Hallmark movies or catching up on Grey’s Anatomy. I’m excited to serve you this year, and I hope to make this year memorable for you!

    Haeleigh Hayden, VP Member Activities, Avon HS

    Greetings and salutations fellow Indiana Business Professionals! My name is Haeleigh Hayden and I am your 2017-2018 VP of Member Activities. I attend Avon High School (Go Orioles) am involved in Attraction Show Choir, Pre-Med Club, Art Club, Hope Clinic, and about six other activities. I am also an Author of seven novels and am an avid artist and book nerd when not involved in extracurriculars. I once was the type of gal that would want to get involved in school activities but was always too shy. I decided that helping people was a passion of mine, and I needed to get out of my comfort zone and branch out a bit. I am so honored to be able to work with new people in finding their path in life as I find my own. I am looking forward to meeting you all and making this year the best yet.     Hello Indiana BPA! I'm Mason Rottinghaus, and I am your 2017-2018 VP of Communication! I am a senior at Tri Jr./Sr. High School in Straughn, Indiana. Outside of BPA, I am involved in National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Student Council, and Student Government. I also play baseball and tennis! I also love cheering on all sports teams at my school! If I'm not with friends or busy, I love to watch my favorite TV show, The Office, on Netflix. BPA has impacted my life so much and I cannot wait to get all of you involved with our great organization! I am so excited to make this year great.     Hey Indiana BPA! I am Clara Valentine, your 2017-2018 Vice President of Public Relations. I am a senior at Ben Davis University High School in Region 8. This is my fourth year in Business Professionals of America, and I am honored to spend it serving you. Beyond BPA, I am the Class Treasurer and National Honor Society Service chairman. I am also a member of Student Council, Battle of the Books, a pre-school classroom aid, and the founder of my school’s Ultimate Frisbee club. In my downtime, I love to travel and explore different cultures and nature. In the future, I plan to study International Relations and Business. Let’s have a fantastic year Indiana!

    Nathan Partin, Region 1 President, Portage HS

    Hi Indiana BPA! I am Nathan Partin, your Region 1 President for 2017-2018. I am a senior at Portage High School. I have been in BPA since my freshman year, and it is one of the best decisions I have made in high school. Although I am in many other activities at my school, as in National Honor Society, Cross Country, Natural Helpers, IT Club, and Student Council, I feel that BPA has the most influence on me. It gives me the opportunity to lead my peers and do something larger than myself. In my free time, you can catch me in front of a computer screen, sometimes even two. I hope to advance both my technological skills and business skills in the future with a major in Information Technology/Assurance. I am excited to serve and represent my region and chapter in this following year!

    Hannah Rice, Region 2 President, Warsaw Community HS

    Hello Indiana BPA! My name is Hannah Rice, and I am the Region 2 President for 2017-2018. I am a senior at Warsaw Community High School and this is my fourth year in BPA. I am a member of National Honors Society and YC Club, and I am also an intern for Kosciusko Superior Court III. I spend my free time kayaking, water skiing, and hanging out with my friends and family, with whom I absolutely love. Another one of my biggest passions is ceramics and sculpture. I am looking to attend university out of state next year and major in political science and/or criminal justice in hopes of going to law school one day. This year will be bittersweet as it is my last year of high school and BPA. I am so excited to serve as one of your regional presidents!

    Hello, my name is Adam Bott, and I am the Region 3/6 president for the 2017-2018 school year. I am a senior at Southwood Jr/Sr High School which is in Wabash, IN. My favorite subject in school is English because it is the class that I’ve always excelled at. Activities that I enjoy include: playing video games, spending time with my friends and family, and playing instruments. I play the piano, guitar, ukulele, merlin, and the melodica. Hobbies that I engage in are building and working on computers. I am a hard worker, I am outgoing, and I like to make others happy. I plan on bringing an enjoyable and reliable atmosphere to my 2017-2018 BPA team. I look forward to working with you all.

    Hey Indiana BPA! I am Leigh Anne Reuter, your Region 4/5 President for 2017-2018. I am a senior at Hamilton Heights High School, where I participate in a variety of activities. I have been a member of BPA since my freshman year and thus, throughout the years, have completed several BPA projects. Some of the other extracurricular activities I participate in include Mock Trials, Model UN, Drama, Key Club, and Honor Society. Outside of school I am also a 9-year member of Hamilton County 4-H. In my spare time I like to read, watch the news, travel, walk my dog, and eat at interesting restaurants. I am so excited to help make this year of BPA one to remember!

    Hello Indiana BPA! My name is Braydon Scank and I am serving as this year’s Region 7 President. I am currently a senior at the Metropolitan School District of Shakamak, and this is my third year in BPA. I am an active member in Drama Club, SADD, Upward Bound, FCCLA, National Honor Society, Student Council, and Show Choir. I currently serve as the chapter president and state officer in FCCLA and I am the Class of 2018 Vice President. In my free time, I enjoy speaking and learning other languages, spending time with friends, and swimming. I can't wait to see what the New Year upholds for BPA.     Hello Indiana BPA! My name is Francisco Guerra and I am your 2017-2018 Region 8 president. I am currently a senior at Ben Davis University High School, and I look forward to a great senior year with the SOLT and the awesome Indiana BPA membership! In school, I am part of Student Council, Science Club, Peer-tutoring, and National Honors Society. I am interested in both Business and Politics and would love to pursue a career in either of these fields. I enjoy hanging out with friends, reading, traveling, watching sitcoms, and catching up on the newest Netflix Originals.     Hi Indiana BPA! I'm Ali Reece, and I'm very excited to continue my fourth year of BPA serving as your Region 9 President! I am a senior at Lincoln high school in Cambridge City, Indiana. Throughout my high school career I have participated in Spanish Club, Key Club, Student Council , Lincoln Teens, National Honors Society, 4-H, and BPA. I have also enjoyed participating in tennis, cheerleading, and volleyball. Through BPA I have served as my local chapter’s Historian, and I was also fortunate enough to not only attend the National BPA Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida, but to be a finalist along with my team in Parliamentary Procedures. I'm very excited to serve on the SOLT of the 2017-2018, and I'm looking forward to a great year.

    Hey Indiana BPA! I'm Olivia Wilson and I will be serving as Region 10's president. I'm a senior at North Posey High School. This is my second year of BPA. Aside from BPA, I'm quite involved at my school: Such as Robotics Club, Chess Club, Student Council, and manager of the cross country team. Other than school activities, I do programming (slight computer nerd) and I read a lot. After high school, I hope to attend the University of Evansville. I plan to double major in engineering and business. I'm super excited to serve on the 2017-2018 State Officer Leadership Team!

    Hello Indiana BPA. I’m Kali Barnhill and I am the 2017-2018 Region 11 President. I currently attend The Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship in Bloomington, Indiana and I have been a member of Business Professionals of America since last year. I partake in other clubs at my school such as Diversity club and Spanish club, as well as participating in my school's play productions. Outside of Business Professionals of America, I like to pass my time with reading, swimming, and recreational sports. Some of my favorite hobbies are writing, playing guitar, drawing and acting. After high school, I hope to obtain my Associate's degree through Ivy Tech and then to move on to a four year college, where I can get my degree in Criminology and later to work in Forensics. I’m excited to spend my second year in Business Professionals of America as Region 11’s president!

    Calleigh Powell, Region 12 President, Switzerland County High School

    Hi, Indiana BPA my name is Calleigh Powell and I am your Region 12 President. I am in the 11th grade at Switzerland County High School. I have been a part of Business Professionals of America for 3 years now and have loved every second of it. I am very competitive and enjoy meeting new people and creating lifelong friendships with people who can connect with BPA as much as I do. Outside of BPA I enjoy playing soccer and running track, along with sports I tend to stay busy with other clubs such as FCA, FFA, Student Council, and National Honor Society. For my future I hope to attend the University of Alabama to major in Biomedical Sciences and become a Genetic Therapist with a minor in Spanish. I look forward to accomplishing my goals this year and making it one to remember.
